The 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s

me4 alz 2017

Time is moving forward to one of my favorite times of the year – The Williamsburg Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

At the Walk participants carry flowers representing their connection to Alzheimer’s – a disease that can’t be prevented, cured or even slowed.  But what if one day it could?   By walking together, we can help make that beautiful day happen.

This year is very special as my youngest Granddaughter, Emma, will be holding the white Alzheimer’s flower.  The white flower was introduced last year to represent the first survivor.  I have HOPE that one day soon someone very special will be the first person to receive this flower.  It will give you chills to see it’s simple beauty.

If you are uncertain if you want to participate in the walk here are several reasons to offer your support and flower colors:

Blue:   Walking to end Alzheimer’s because they currently have Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.

Purple:  Walking to end Alzheimer’s because they have lost someone they love to the disease.

Yellow:  Walking to end Alzheimer’s because they are supporting or caring for someone with Alzheimer’s.

Orange:  Walking to end Alzheimer’s to support the cause and a vision of a world without Alzheimer’s.

Please join me at the Walk to help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.

Walk date:  October 27th 2018
